Special Need Education
The purpose of the Special Education Teacher Cultivation Program is to cultivate special education teachers. Students undertake learning and research that integrated fundamental and clinical knowledge, in line with the types of support needed in order to help children with disabilities to develop greater autonomy and to participate more fully in society.
A basic qualification for becoming a special education teacher is to have an elementary education or secondary education teaching certificate. Besides specialist classes, this Program also incorporates the classes required in order to obtain a teaching certificate that qualifies the holder to teach in an elementary school or secondary school. In the third year of the course, students undertake teaching practice in either an elementary school or a junior high school, as well as teaching practice in a special education school.
