Admission policy

The type of people we are looking for
The Graduate School of Education seeks to enroll the following types of human talent:

  1. Individuals who possess the basic learning ability and fundamental teaching knowledge and skills expected of a university graduate, and who hold, or are expected to obtain in the near future, a Class I Teaching Certificate.
  2. Individuals who have the issue awareness and concern expected of teachers, and who embody wide-ranging personal cultivation and flexible thinking.
  3. Individuals who possess the communication skills, guidance ability, and ability to collaborate effectively which are required for enhancing one’s teaching implementation ability.

Skills and capabilities that applicants are expected to have acquired before enrolment:

  1. The basic learning ability expected of a university graduate, and the fundamental knowledge and skills required by a teacher.
  2. A genuine interest in the issues affecting teaching and schools, and the ability to think about these issues from different perspectives.
  3. The ability to communicate and collaborate with different types of people.

The determination as to whether an applicant is suitable to be enrolled is made in accordance with the Graduate School of Education’s enrolment policy, by requiring applicants to submit essays and undergo interviews, and by implementing a multifaceted, overall evaluation of applicants’ character and capabilities.
